Success Story: Squirrel (Trio)

Squirrel's story began in hardship. After being attacked by a free-roaming dog, he suffered multiple complex fractures that went untreated for 8 days while he ran a fever. When his owner passed away, no one stepped forward to take responsibility for his care.

A dedicated volunteer reached out to CCA for help, and Holly Tree Animal Hospital provided urgent medical attention. After his amputation, a former ICU nurse fostered him through recovery, giving him the love and care he needed to heal.

Today, now known as Trio, he is living his best life with his new family, a canine sister and cousin, rides on the golf cart, and regular trips to Lowe's. We are grateful to everyone who gave Trio his second chance.

The CCA Adoptions team takes great care to match the environment and lifestyle of the prospective owner with the needs and personality of each animal. Our goal is to ensure that the placement will last for the animal’s entire life.

To meet this goal, we have a comprehensive adoption process in place:
