Between the shelter and foster homes, CCA has many loving cats and dogs waiting for their forever homes. All are kept up-to-date on vaccines, neutered/spayed, microchipped, dewormed and treated for fleas and ticks.

Success Story: Merlot (Cisco)
Early last year, the Rhyne family spent months looking for a second dog to join their family and existing pup, nine-year-old Tucky. As soon as they met Merlot – now named Cisco - at the shelter, they knew she was the one, even though they never expected to adopt a puppy! Today, now known as Cisco, she is living her best life with her new family, and has a special bond with her human brother. Read their story here.

The CCA Adoptions team takes great care to match the environment and lifestyle of the prospective owner with the needs and personality of each animal. Our goal is to ensure that the placement will last for the animal’s entire life.

To meet this goal, we have a comprehensive adoption process in place:

SUBMIT ADOPTION APPLICATION

This application includes personal and veterinary references who will be contacted on your behalf. Applications are processed Monday through Friday.

Cat Application

Dog Application

MEET AND GREET

Once your application is processed and approved, we will contact you to schedule an appointment at the shelter. We do NOT schedule visits without an approved application on file.

HOME VISIT/delivery

We come to your home to confirm information provided via application and visitation matches. After a one-time fee and contract is signed, you are the proud new pet parent!

Please note that you will be asked to sign an adoption contract.
