ADOPTION PROCESS
The CCA Adoptions team takes great care to match each animal with the right home. We look at your environment and lifestyle alongside the needs and personality of the animal, because our goal is a placement that lasts for the animal's entire life.

Here's how it works:
SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
Your application includes a veterinary reference who will be contacted on your behalf. If you haven't had a pet before and don't have a vet on file, we'll ask for personal references instead. Applications are processed Monday through Friday.
MEET AND GREET
Once your application is processed and approved, we will reach out to set up a meet-and-greet. We do NOT schedule visits without an approved application on file.
From there, the choice is yours. We know everyone's time is valuable, so we offer two ways to meet your potential new family member:
Come to the shelter. Visit us, spend time with the animal in person, and take a day or two to think it over if you need to. When you're ready, we can deliver your new companion right to your door.
Meet at home. If getting out to the shelter is tough, we can bring the animal to you for the meet-and-greet in your own space.
THE FINAL STEP
Whichever option you choose, this is where we confirm that the information from your application matches your home and lifestyle. Once the contract is signed and the one-time fee is taken care of, you are the proud new pet parent!
